Eight clients invited to Hockey Canada U17 camp

(Calgary, AB) -- Eight M&T clients have been selected to participate in the Hockey Canada U17 camp scheduled for July 16-21st in Oakville, ON.

The camp features 80 of the top 2010-born prospects from across Canada and is the first step in the evaluation process to determine the two teams that will take part in the 2026 World Hockey Challenge (November 1-7) in Oakville.

Centre Tanner Adams (South Porcupine, ON), defenseman Gabriel Coache-Luqman (Candiac, QB) goalie Tanner Gibson (Oshawa, ON), winger Kyler Lauder (Uxbridge, ON), winger Bryce Lazare (Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC) defenseman Adrian Sgro (Alliston, ON), winger Alexandre Saulnier (Ottawa, ON and centre Chace Turchak (Calgary, AB) have been invited to take part.

Adams, a 6.01, 193 lbs. forward played the 25-26 season with the Hill Academy U16s. In 50 games, he scored 29 goals and added 48 assists for 77 points. He was selected 3rd overall by the Brampton Steelheads in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection.

Coache-Luqman, a 6.03, 207 lbs. defenseman played for the Charles-Lemoyne U18 program last season. He played 40 games and collected 2 goals and 7 assists. He was selected in the 2nd round (26th overall) by the Sherbrooke Phoenix.

Gibson, a 6.01, 158 lbs. goaltender played for the Ajax-Pickering Raiders U16. He played 15 regular season games and sported a 2.20 GAA. He was Erie's 3rd round selection (50th overall) in the OHL Priority Selection.

Lauder, a 5.11, 162 lbs. forward played for the Central Ontario Wolves U16s who scored 35 goals and added 34 assists in just 32 games this past season. He was Saginaw's 2nd round selection (24th overall) in the OHL Priority Selection.

Lazare, a 6.01, 176 lbs forward played for the Lac-St.Louis U18s this past season. He was selected in the 2nd round of the QMJHL Draft by Baie-Comeau.+

Sgro, a 5.11, 182 lbs. defenseman played for the Vaughan Kings U16s. In 33 regular season games he scored 10 goals and added 21 assists with 100 PIMs. He was Sarnia's 1st round selection (4th overall) in the OHL Priority Selection.

Saulnier, a 6.02, 196 lbs. winger played for the Ottawa Jr. 67's U16s. He scored 5 goals and added 19 assists in just 17 regular season games. He was North Bay's 2nd round selection (35th overall) in the OHL Priority Selection.

Turchak, a 6.00, 167 lbs. centreman played for the Calgary Buffalos U18s this past season where he scored 13 goals and added 32 assists in 45 games. He was selected in the 2nd round (30th overall) in the 2025 WHL Draft by the Red Deer Rebels.
