(Moncton, NB) -- Four M&T clients were selected in the 1st round of the 2024 QMJHL Draft on Friday night at the Avenir Centre in Moncton, NB.
The Quebec Remparts traded up to the #1 spot to select C Maddox Dagenais (Blainville, QC) from the Quinte Red Devils of the OMHA-East league.
Dagenais, a 6-3, 180 lbs. forward scored 42 goals and added 39 assists in 35 regular season games with the Red Devils.
With the 11th selection, the Halifax Mooseheads selected local product, Daniel Walters (Halifax, ON) from the Halifax McDonalds U18 club. The 5-11, 188 lbs. centre scored 9 goals and picked up 18 assists in 27 regular season games.
At #12, the Gatineau Olympiques selected centre Maxim Dube (Fort-Coulonge, QC) from the Long Island Gulls 15's. Dube a 5.11, 163 lbs. forward, scored 31goals and added 44 assists in 65 games with the Gulls.
The Acadie-Bathurst Titan selected forward Liam Arsenault (Cornwall, PE) at #18. The 5.08, 160 lbs. winger had 15 goals and 34 assists in just 33 games with the Kensington Wild U18s.
