Guelph, ON -- The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed M&T client Bennett MacArthur (Summerside, PEI) of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the QMJHL to a 3-year entry-level contract.
The 20 year old overage left winger, has 25 goals and 18 assists in 43 games with the Titan this year.
At 6-1, 196 lbs., MacArthur was an undrafted Midget in 2017 before playing for Rothesay Netherwood Prep in 2017-18.
In 2018-19, at age 17, he had 35 points in 27 games for the U18 Kensington Wild of the NBPEI Midget League.
As an 18-year old in 2019-20, MacArthur signed with the Summerside Capitals Jr.A. club and scored 41 points in 30 games in his first season of junior hockey.
Mid-way through that season he signed as a free agent with the Titan.
