Logan Morrison captures OHL Title and Gretzky Trophy

(Hamilton, ON) -- Winger Logan Morrison (Guelph, ON) captured the J. Ross Robertson Cup and the Wayne Gretzky 99 Award for Playoff MVP as his Hamilton Bulldogs captured the OHL Championship last night with a 6-1 win over the Windsor Spitfires in Game Seven.



The 19-year old Guelph Minor Hockey product led all playoff scorers with 39 points in just 19 games. Morrison, a 6'01", 180 lb. right-shot forward, led the Bulldogs in regular season scoring (6th overall in the league) - with 34 goals and 66 assists totaling 100 points and was a +44 in 60 games.


Morrison is eligible for the upcoming 2022 NHL Entry Draft scheduled for July 7-8th in Montreal at the Bell Centre.


The Bulldogs advance to the Memorial Cup being held in Saint John, NB, opening the round-robin on Monday night.





Congratulations also goes out to Windsor Spitfires winger Matt Maggio (Tecumseh, ON) who had an impressive season as well with 38 goals and 47 assists for 85 points during the regular season and 17 points in 25 games in the playoffs.
