Maddox Dagenais wins Mike Bossy award

(Boucherville, QC) -- Maddox Dagenais (Kingston, ON) has been named the winner of the QMJHL's Mike Bossy award for top NHL prospect.



Injured and absent for 21 games in his rookie season, Dagenais truly took off this season, racking up 62 points in as many games, ranking 34th in QMJHL scoring. The Remparts' second-leading scorer, he led his team with 10 goals and 25 power-play points. His 273 shots on goal earned him fourth place in the league. Dagenais is projected to be drafted in the first round of the NHL draft in June.


Maddox played his minor hockey for the Kingston Jr. Gaels and Quinte Red Devils before being the 1st overall selection in the 2024 QMJHL Draft. His father, Pierre, was also the 1st overall draft pick in the 1995 QMJHL Draft making them the first father-son combination to be selected first overall.
