Mattias Hävelid signs with San Jose Sharks

(San Jose, CA) -- Defenseman Mattias Hävelid (Linköping, Sweden) has signed an entry-level contract with the San Jose Sharks.
Hävelid captured the IIHF U18 World Championship in 2022 and was a member of the Allsvenskan Champion Djurgardens IF club this year.
He was selected in the 2nd round (45th overall) by the Sharks in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
Hävelid, who is 5.10, 176 lbs., played 19 games with Linkoping HC in the SHL and 18 games with Djurgardens IF this season.
