Pius Suter signs NHL contract with Chicago Blackhawks


(Chicago, IL) -- Pius Suter (Wallisellen, Switzerland) has signed an entry-level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Suter, who played for the OHL Guelph Storm (2013-2015) spent the past five seasons playing for ZSC Lions of the Swiss NLA league.

Suter, 25, scored 53 points in 50 games this past season for ZSC and has had experience at the International level with the Swiss National program.

Age age 17, Suter was selected 38th overall in the 2013 CHL Import Draft by the Guelph Storm where he spent two seasons as a key performer – leading them to an OHL title in 2013-14.

The 5’11’, 176 lb. centreman will report to the Blackhawks camp in the coming weeks.
