Roobroeck acquired by Guelph Storm

(Guelph, ON) -- Forward Ryan Roobroeck (London, ON) has been acquired by the 2027 Memorial Cup host Guelph Storm in a trade with the Niagara Ice Dogs.

Roobroeck was acquired in exchange for forward Wil McFadden, forward Layne Gallacher, a 3rd round pick (Ottawa) in 2029, a 4th round pick (Guelph) in 2030, and a 5th round pick (Guelph) in the 2027 OHL Priority Selection.
This past season, Roobroeck scored 30 goals and added 28 assists in 49 games with the Ice Dogs.
Over his three seasons in Niagara, he has played in 176 regular season games scoring 99 goals and adding 97 assists.
The 6.03, 210 lbs. winger is eligible for the 2026 NHL Entry Draft June 26-27th in Buffalo.
Ryan was the 2nd overall choice in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection by the Niagara Ice Dogs after playing minor hockey with the London Jr. Knights.
