Roobroeck strikes gold at IIHF U18s

(Frisco, TX) -- Niagara Ice Dogs winger Ryan Roobroeck (London, ON) captured goald as a member of Canada's Gold Medal team at the IIHF Under-18 tournament held in Texas.

Roobroeck recorded 4 goals and 5 assists in 7 games to finish 10th in the tournament in scoring.
He was only one of two players on the U18 team who is not eligible until the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.
The 17-year old Roobroeck led the OHL's Niagara Ice Dogs in scoring with 41 goals and 46 assists in 64 games this past season.
As a rookie in 2023-24, he had 28 goals and 51 points in 63 games, earning OHL First All-Rookie Team honours.
Ryan was the 2nd overall choice in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection by the Niagara Ice Dogs after playing minor hockey with the London Jr. Knights.
