(Guelph, ON) -- Defenseman Spencer Gill (Riverview, NB) was selected 5th overall by the Rimouski Oceanic in the 2022 QMJHL Draft held July 4th.
The 6.02, 156 lbs. blueliner spent the 2021-22 season with the Moncton Flyers U18s.
He recorded 7 goals and 23 assists in 30 regular season games with the Flyers, then added 4 points in 7 playoff games. He spent the previous two seasons with the Moncton Hawks U15 program.
He led his Flyers team to the 2022 Telus Cup Championship earlier this spring and has been named to the Hockey Canada Under-17 camp schedule for later this month in Calgary, AB.
