Three clients named to Under-17 Hockey CHallenge

(Truro, NS) -- Hockey Canada has announced that 3 M&T clients will wear the Maple Leaf with Canada Red and Canada White at the 2025 U17 Hockey Challenge, set for November 28 at Rath Eastlink Community Centre in Truro, Nova Scotia.

Matthew Henderson (Sarnia, ON), Sam Berthiaume (Stellarton, NS) and Mirco Dufour (Chestermere, AB) have been selected to take part in the six-team event featuring entries from Sweden, Czechia, Finland and the United States.
Henderson is currently with the OHL Kingston Frontenacs and has three assists in eleven games to date. The 6-0, 168 lbs. defenseman was the first round selection (17th overall) by the Frontenacs Entry Draft after playing for the Huron-Perth Lakers 16s last season.
Berthiaume was the Cape Breton Eagles' 2nd round selection (25th overall) in QMJHL Draft last spring after playing 33 games with South Kent School. The 6'4 goalie was the first netminder selected in the most recent QMJHL Draft.
Dufour has played six games for the Everett Silvertips and has a goal so far this season. He was the Tips' 1st round choice (19th overall) in the 2024 WHL Draft after a season with the Calgary Edge School U15s.
