(Guelph, ON) -- J.J. Peterka (Munich, Germany) and Eugen Rabcan (Levoca, Slovakia) were both selected in the CHL Import Draft on Tuesday morning.
With their 1st round pick, the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League selected J.J. Peterka, the 17-year-old forward, who played this past season for Red Bull Munich of the DEL. The forward scored 4 goals and 2 assists for Germany at the World Junior Championships in December and is rated in the 1st round of the upcoming NHL Draft.
With their 2nd round pick, the Winnipeg Ice of the Western Hockey League selected Eugen Rabcan, the 6’3, 192lbs 19-year-old goaltender from Slovakia played for HK Spisska Nova Ves in the Slovakia2 League. He played in 30 games last season recording a 2.61GAA and a .921 save percentage. Heading into his 19-year-old season, Eugen has represented his country at the U18 and U20 levels.
