Jansson called up by Florida Panthers

(Sunrise, FL) -- Ludvig Jansson (Stockholm, SWE) has been called up to the NHL Florida Panthers from the AHL Charlotte Checkers.

The 6-0, 181 lbs. defenseman has posted 3 goals and picked up 7 assists for the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League during the 2025-2026 season, the first of his professional contract.

Jansson was drafted by the Panthers in the 4th round (122nd overall) in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

Jansson played the 2024-25 season with Lulea of the Swedish Hockey League playing 50 games. He also led Team Sweden in scoring at World Juniors in Halifax in 2023.
